about us

OUR GOALS:

Provide Free No Cost Spay/Neuter “Campaigns” and Low Cost Spay/Neuter all over the Baja.  Our Slogan is: “Keep It Simple, Have Some Fun and Pass The Gift.” Again we are very keen on passing what we have learned to the most needy locations.

Give Some Life is a non-profit organization, We are funded solely by the donations of members and animal lovers who want to help.  Currently, we are conducting "Mash Style" free spay/neuter "CAMPAIGNS" in Ensenada, Rosarito, Tijuana, Tecate and Mexicali...as well as other locations around Baja Mexico. We work in elementary schools, universities and community centers to spay and neuter animals at no charge.

These Monthly "Campaigns" are free and are provided with the help of volunteers and Veterinarians from the US and Mexico. We have a city bus that has been donated and we are working to outfit it as the Baja VetMobile that will visit various impoverished neighborhoods.  Area school children and Mexican volunteers will bring animals to the schools and clinics. This spay-neuter program is available free to anyone who brings his or her dog or cat in.

Our Secondary goal is to establish “Low Cost Clinics” that are subsidized by the Give Some Life Foundation – to establish a set price and offer a coupon or voucher to people so they can get their pets fixed and the Vets can cover their expenses for spay/neuter. We are also working with rescue groups to help them - without cost to spay/neuter. We are providing this service in Rosarito, Tijuana and Mexicali - as a subsidized service outside the regular “Free Campaign” schedule.

Again our goal is to establish more Free No Cost Spay/Neuter “Campaigns” - “Low Cost Clinics” as well as begin operating the  Baja VetMobile to perform large volumes of spay/neuter surgeries to help to stop the huge numbers of unwanted litters that have created thousands of abandoned animals with no opportunity for a decent life.

The Give Some Life Foundation - was formed by Glen Larsen, Bill Clark and Joaquin Villasenor, DVM.  The GSL Foundation is an organization that provides free spays/neuter to pet owners and rescue groups in Northern Mexico.

Give Some Life is a non-profit organization, fully staffed by volunteers.  We are funded solely by the donations of members and animal lovers who want to help.  Currently, we are conducting "Mash Style" spay/neuter "CAMPAIGNS" in locations around northern Mexico.  We work in elementary schools, Universities, parking lots as well as along the streets in the Tijuana area, to spay and neuter animals at no charge.

This service is provided to the community at no cost by licensed veterinarians and volunteers with one goal in mind: reducing the enormous number of homeless, unwanted cats and dogs.

We train veterinarians in high speed spay/neuter - from our “Campaigns” with Dr. Marvin Mackie, DVM – Animal Birth Control center in Los Angeles.  They are heads of the vets from the Vet Associations in Mexicali & Rosarito.  Dr. Serrano, MVZ is the head director of the Give Some Life Foundation.

Special Note:  Dr. Montanyo has taught almost all of the Veterinarians in the Baja. He is an administrator with the only Veterinarian University in the Baja located in Mexicali. He has been there for 28 years and is our friend.
